During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 communication apps in the United Arab Emirates exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

WhatsApp Business saw a consistent range in weekly downloads, averaging around 51K with a peak of approximately 58.9K in mid-June. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting from 1.92M in early April and reaching 2.05M by the end of June.

imo-International Calls & Chat experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging between 40K and 56K. Revenue saw a peak of $23.9K in the final week of June, while active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3.2M throughout the quarter.

Messenger reported variable weekly downloads, starting at 55.5K and hitting a high of 77K in the second week of April. Revenue also fluctuated, peaking at $376 in late May. Active users showed slight variations, maintaining an average of around 2.7M.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate, with weekly figures generally between 49K and 76K. Active users remained stable, averaging around 5.6M throughout the quarter.
